Kayney

A vivacious petite blonde, Kayney is a Newcastle lass on a mission to take the dance world by storm. A huge fan of 80s music Kayney takes her inspiration from great pop artists like Madonna, Mel & Kim, Five Star and Cyndi Lauper, along with her current favourites which include Robyn, Jessica Simpson and Kylie.

Biography

Kayney started singing and performing at a young age, and attended the Newcastle School of Performing Arts. Along with Ant & Dec (of whom she is a big fan) Kayney’s first claim to fame was appearing in Biker Grove. From there she went on to create many of her own bands throughout her teenage years, including a dance band where she danced with Cheryl Cole.

Kayney’s mingling with the stars didn’t end in her teens, as she is now recording songs written for her personally by ex Atomic Kitten and Celebrity Masterchef winner Liz McClarnon. Kayney is in the studio with top producer and writer Tom Kent, who has worked with an eclectic collection of bands and artists including Axwell, The Saturdays, Bananarama and Angel City.

A bit of a tom boy, with a very sweet tooth, Kayney will never say no to some chocolate or candy! Particularly partial to flumps, maltessers and ice cream yet still managing to maintain her sleek slender figure.

Kayney, certainly not afraid of a challenge, performed her second ever live gig in August 2009, in front of an incredible 15,000 people at the Tamworth Music Festival. The crowd absolutely adored her, as her presence on the stage was memorising. Leaving the stage Kayney said “Woh! What a buzz, I don’t want to leave the stage, I can’t wait to get on the road and perform some more”. Kayney performed alongside the likes of Blue, JLS and the Sugababes.
Certainly set for big things in 2009, keep your eyes peeled for this Northern blonde bombshell.
